Remember the days when we had to live with the bulky and horrible picture-tube TVs in our family rooms? Back in those days, any stylish living room décor meant having to hide the TV in a cabinet or built-in entertainment unit, well away from sight.

No more of that! Now with the cool flat screen models people are no longer embarrassed to show off their TVs. Some of the new LCD TVs are design pieces in their own right and because they are slimmer and lighter, you can easily wall mount them in your family room or fit them in a cool built-in entertainment unit or above an elegant console or sideboard.

Wall mounting is my preferred option especially against a black wall so that the TV can blend in and loose some of the impact associated with its massive proportion. A dark wallpaper also works well. via
